Belfast News: Spend A Penny Spend A Pound
Budget airlines Ryanair's Chief Executive Michael O'Leary indicated that they had considered charging
travelers with the company, a pound to use onboard toilets and that such a scheme could involve 'coin slots on the toilet door'.
The news came as Ryanair also confirmed its intentions to close all of its airport check-in desks by the end of the year, in a cost cutting exercise.
Ryanair which has operations at George Best Belfast City Airport was
criticised by Consumer group Which? and in typical Belfast style when we posed the prospect to local people, the response was that:
Ryanair can Bog OFF!
Later, Ryanair's PR chief Steven McNamara played down the idea, stating "I don't think it's going to happen in the foreseeable future", but by then, most people where aware of Ryanair's Bog Standards.
