Belfast Property: What A State Agency

Has the world gone crazy or are people so frightened that they might never own their home that they are willing to camp out for up to a week on the streets of Belfast.

Ballyhackamore in East Belfast has not be spared this spectacle, as agent after agent from MCW Residential pictured left, through to the Halifax has had more campers than Butlins.

The public appear to be panicking as property prices appear to spiral out of control in Northern Ireland, vastly outstripping the average income.

MCW Residential pictured left saw the public camping on its doorstep for a new build release on the Beersbridge Road, for over four days.

The ensuing queue saw people joining who were prepared for the long wait bringing with them everything imaginable including a wide screen tele.

Was it all worth the wait ?

The bigger question is when comparing house prices, the market, personal mortgages, personal debt and the average wage, are we creating our own downfall which will eventually lead to more people sleeping rough ?
