Men Who Prey On Little People
Most of us would I
am sure, faint at the prospect of five men forcing
their way into our homes and threatening us with
violence, we can only imagine. For victims of such
elder years to have to endure such terror, stands
as a monument to our failures to bring such 'MEN'
to task.
The attack on Margaret Somerville pictured on the right, was prosecuted
successfully in a Scottish Court and the 'MAN' behind the crime was Patrick Wallace. As you will see
from the video images, Mrs. Somerville hung on for dear life to her bag and was indeed fortunate that it did not cost her, her life.
The perpetrator was jailed for five years and four months.
| The second image is of an 82 year old victim Janet Jeannette who escaped an attack on her home by a 5 man masked gang, at approx. 8 o'clock at night. The gang impersonated police officers and ransacked her home. Ms. Jeanette escaped to raise the alarm at a nearby pub, and the 'REAL MEN'
in the pub ran to her aid, but the villains had fled. |

81-year-old Scot Attacked |
Thursday the 5th February 2009 saw the police searching a four man gang who attacked an old man in his home. The 'MEN' are also believed to have been responsible for two other robberies on pensioners the day before.
On Tuesday the 10th February 2009, five 'MEN'
manhandled a pensioner back into their Templemore
Avenue home and fled upon being confronted by a
male occupant. In a second incident at just after
11pm four 'MEN' forced entry into a house in
Florida Street. They fled when confronted.
It is clearly the responsibility of us all, to
end these predatory acts against the elderly. It
is for the police to charge such individuals not
only with acts of burglary, but with counts
reflecting 'Conspiring' and the 'Aggravated'
elements of the attacks. It is for the real MEN in
the community to shop these cowards, who are
preying on your own community. It is for us all to
be vigilant, keeping watch out for our neighbours
and friends, ensuring that their homes do not
become their prison because of such attacks.
