News: On Your Bike! As the Northern Ireland Assembly is about to
the end its first full uninterrupted term,
our question to you is, can you think of one piece of legislation, procedure or process
introduced during their whole term of
office?

Yes, the Northern Ireland Assembly has voted through the second stage of this Bill with a majority of two, which will ultimately mean that you or your children will be fined £50 for riding a bike without a helmet.
You may wish to remember that a Bill which cycling organisations have warned could lead to a dramatic drop in the number of people who cycle, took a step closer to becoming law and that it was passed by what could be argued as the most 'unfit' bunch of people in the country.
Come the 2011 Northern Ireland Assembly Elections, you may wish to tell them: On Your Bike!
